Fancying something sweet, why not try out this delicious easy bun recipe!
Preheat the oven to 180C.
Line your baking tray with paper bun cases.
Mix the butter and sugar together in a bowl until pale.
Then beat in the eggs, little at a time and stir in the vanilla extract.
Fold in the flour using a spatula and add a little milk until the mixture is a soft drooping consistency.
Spoon the mixture into the paper cases – only fill them half full.
Bake in the oven for 10 minutes or until golden brown.
To check if cooked, insert a skewer into the middle of the buns and if clean when removed, the buns are cooked.
Leave to cool for 10 minutes.
For the icing, sift the icing sugar into a bowl and gradually stir in water until it becomes a smooth mixture.
Optional: Stir in food colouring.
Then drizzle over the buns, decorate, and leave to the side until the icing hardens.
