Christmas is coming...why not get into the festive spirit with these festive bakes!
Put icing sugar, vanilla extract, butter, and egg yolk into a mixing bowl and mix with a wooden spoon or electric mixer.
Then add the flour and mix to a firm dough.
Shape the dough into two flat discs and wrap them. Place in the fridge for 20-30 mins.
Heat oven to 190C/fan 170C/gas 5 and line two baking sheets with non-stick baking paper.
Roll the dough on a floured surface to the thickness of two £1 coins.
Then cut out Christmassy shapes of your choice using your preferred cookie cutter.
Place on baking sheets and bake for 10-12 mins until lightly golden.
Lift the biscuits onto a wire rack to cool.
Then mix the icing sugar with a few drops of cold water to make a thick but runny icing.
Optional: Add food colouring
Decorate how you like.
